FINANCIAL TRANSPARENCY
EVA RIGNEY FOR MAYOR
Financial Transparency
In our community, transparency and accountability are not just ideals — they are the foundation of a government that works for everyone. It’s time to make it clear: We will no longer accept taxation without representation.
Every dollar that is taken from the pockets of our residents through taxes must be accounted for, and you, the people, have the right to know exactly how those dollars are being spent. That’s why I am committed to implementing quarterly financial reports, made publicly available for all to see. These reports will offer a clear, accessible picture of how tax revenue is being allocated, where funds are being directed, and where improvements can be made. No more secrecy, no more hidden budgets — just open, honest information for every Myrtle Beach resident.
Good decision-making begins with accountability. If our leaders are entrusted with taxpayer dollars, we owe it to you to ensure that those dollars are used wisely, efficiently, and responsibly.
Our Action Plan:
-
Provide Transparency through quarterly financial reports open to the public
-
Clean and Honest Government
Corruption has no place in City Hall. As Mayor, I will guarantee transparency, efficiency, and accountability. Every tax dollar should serve the people, not political insiders.
